I.C.A. (Insanely-phenomenal Cover Artist or just Insane Cover Artist for short) was born Todd Smith on the country line of Wales and Ireland to a Welsh father and an Irish mother. As soon as he could make sounds, he made the sounds of music. In 1956, ICA formed a band called The Beatles, and wrote their first song: "I Wanna Rip Your Hand Out", which made the other band members fear ICA would become a singular world icon and leave them without a pot to piss in. And so, how it went down was, the other three band members conspired together and found a way to vote I.C.A. out of the very band he formed, and that was in 1956. ICA was finally replaced with Ringo Starr. The Beatles would later go on to steal ICA's song and rename it "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" in order to fly it under the radar of copyright laws. After the breakup, ICA was devastated, and turned to drinking for a half a century. It's been said that he slumped on the stage of one Dublin karaoke bar for a year straight, without moving, and cried Whiskey on the first of each month. A half a century later, ICA would finally get over his jiltment from The Beatles, start a self-titled band (I.C.A.), and begin touring intercontinentally, mainly doing song covers--as he vowed never to write music again after The Beatles incident. ICA's first album, released in 2006 by ICA Records was entitled: 'underCOVER', and went on to gross a billion dollars, domestically (in Wales), and of course much more internationally. He still harbors very, very deep feelings of anguish about his inequitable severance from The Beatles, but the experience has made him as a better musician, as those deep feelings are poured out in his music.
